Step 6: General Ledger Application Settings

General Ledger application settings contain various criteria to control processing for all users licensed to use the General Ledger feature. Some of the General Ledger application settings apply to all ledger types, where others are ledger-specific.

  1. From the Application Configurator panel, select the Application Settings tab. The Application Settings panel appears.

  2. Use the following table to enter data in the General Ledger panel:

    If selected, the associated setting value is applied to the user's settings the next time they sign into Spreadsheet Server.

    AdHoc's Folder

    Type the path, or, use the Browse button, to select the shared location of the ad hoc queries.

    If using SharePoint integration configured in Step 1, update this path to match your SharePoint configuration files location. The specific path will depend on where you saved your configuration files during the SharePoint setup.

    Designer GL Definition Folder

    Type the path, or, use the Browse button, to select the shared location of the Designer GL definitions.

    If using SharePoint integration configured in Step 1, update this path to match your SharePoint configuration files location. The specific path will depend on where you saved your configuration files during the SharePoint setup.

    EDQ Files Folder

    Type the path, or, use the Browse button, to select the shared location of the EDQ files.

    If using SharePoint integration configured in Step 1, update this path to match your SharePoint configuration files location. The specific path will depend on where you saved your configuration files during the SharePoint setup.

  4. Click Save, then Yes, to push the changes to the network location.

Client Configuration

  1. Open Excel and navigate to Spreadsheet Server Settings.

  2. Update the Network Security & Connections Files Folder location to match the SharePoint location defined in previous steps.

    Important: This step must be completed for all licensed users on all machines.

  3. Verify the File Locations tab to ensure all paths have been updated.

  4. Update file locations for any highlighted rows that require correction.
