AI Doc Assist Support for Legacy Users

The purpose of this feature is to enable the AI Doc Assist feature for non-platform subscription customers.

Note: Upon upgrading to 25.1, you will see Lineos at the top of the ribbon and have access to AI Doc Assist. Lineos is the new branded name for Spreadsheet Server AI Assistant.

Note: If you are a non-platform user, you will not be able to access AI Data Assist, which remains a Platform exclusive.

As a non-platform subscription user, you can now utilize the AI assistant to help answer questions about the product. You can quickly retrieve summarized answers from Spreadsheet Server online documentation and knowledge base articles, making onboarding and utilizing the solution easier.

Prerequisites

• Applies to non-platform subscription customers.

• An upgrade to 25.1+ is required to take advantage of this feature.

• Maintenance plans will not support this feature; a subscription is necessary.

Steps to Access AI Doc Assist

1. As a non-platform subscription user, upgrade to 25.1.

2. Notice the new icon in the far-right corner of the ribbon called Lineos.

   

   

3. Notice the menu that expands on the side.

4. Ask a question.

5. Lineos will retrieve and summarize an answer from our online documentation and support knowledge base articles.

6. You can clear the chat.

7. You can close the side menu by clicking on Lineos again or by clicking on the X button.

Note: If you are a non-platform perpetual or maintenance paying customer, you will still see Lineos on your ribbon. However, you will receive an error message indicating that this feature is exclusive to subscription customers.
