Spreadsheet Server v25.3.1 Release Notes

This topic describes the enhancement and resolved issues for Spreadsheet Server v25.3.1, released on October 29, 2025.

Performance Improvement

Microsoft Excel now starts faster when Spreadsheet Server is enabled. Performance gains are most significant in environments with remote file shares or slower network connections.

Spreadsheet Server v25.3.1 Resolved Issues

The following table contains all the fixes completed in the 25.3.1 release.

Title

Description

Installer

The installer now handles installations on systems without Excel more reliably. An issue with a deprecated Microsoft Access Runtime 2010 download link was resolved, preventing installation errors on computers without Excel already installed.

Profile Scheduler

Profile Scheduler now operates correctly when scheduled tasks run with elevated permissions while no one is logged in. The issue that prevented scheduled reports from running without an active session was resolved, eliminating the "Unable to determine Excel Add-Ins registry hive" error.

Drill Down

The subledger drill down functionality for Oracle Cloud ERP configurations was restored. The feature now properly returns results when drilling down past journals into adhoc subqueries, resolving a regression introduced in version 25.2 that caused drilldown queries to fail.

GEXD

Cell formatting now persists correctly when using GEXD formulas with the Fill Down Columns parameter. Previously, cells formatted as Text reverted to General format when specifying a non-zero value for Fill Down Columns.

Settings File

An issue has been resolved where accessing security files over slower network connections could corrupt local settings files, requiring manual restoration. Settings files will no longer be corrupted regardless of network conditions.
